Birmans are another colored pointed cat like the Siamese and Ragdoll. They have blue eyes and a coat of medium length but no undercoat, the main feature that distinguishes them from Persians and Himalayans. Birmans were the original stock for breeding ragdolls, so they look very similar, but their markings and personalities are slightly different. They are fun, social cats who love attention - from their chosen ones. They are more of a person's cat than others.
